Assessment of memory lapses, concentration changes, and thinking difficulties, with referral when needed.
Care for Miami Beach patients begins with a full psychiatric evaluation: current symptoms and how long they have lasted, psychiatric and medical history, medications and supplements, sleep, substance use, family history, and the daily stressors specific to work, school, and family life. From there we discuss a diagnosis in plain language and build a treatment plan together.
When medication is appropriate, options, expected benefits, side effects, and monitoring are reviewed at each visit. When helpful, care is coordinated with therapy, primary care, or other specialists, and laboratory or psychological testing may be recommended.
The drive crosses the Julia Tuttle or 79th Street causeway and then runs west, typically 30-40 minutes depending on causeway and event traffic. Mid-morning appointments avoid both the beach-bound tourist flow and the evening return.
Causeway closures and season traffic make Miami Beach a natural fit for hybrid care: in-person when a physical check or new prescription is needed, telehealth for routine follow-up. For cognitive and memory concerns specifically, that means symptom review and medication monitoring stay on schedule without Miami Beach patients rearranging a whole workday. Appointments are available in English and Spanish, and records can be shared with your primary care physician or therapist in Miami Beach on request.
