About this condition

How grief & bereavement is evaluated and treated

Compassionate care after a loss, including prolonged grief, sleep changes, and depressive symptoms.

Care for Boca Raton patients begins with a full psychiatric evaluation: current symptoms and how long they have lasted, psychiatric and medical history, medications and supplements, sleep, substance use, family history, and the daily stressors specific to work, school, and family life. From there we discuss a diagnosis in plain language and build a treatment plan together.

When medication is appropriate, options, expected benefits, side effects, and monitoring are reviewed at each visit. When helpful, care is coordinated with therapy, primary care, or other specialists, and laboratory or psychological testing may be recommended.

Getting to care from Boca Raton

Boca Raton is the closest Palm Beach city to us, but I-95 south still runs 75-90 minutes in weekday traffic, and the Glades Road interchange adds time in both directions.

Most Boca Raton patients are seen by telehealth, with an occasional in-person visit arranged when clinically useful and the schedule allows a half-day. For grief and bereavement specifically, that means Boca Raton patients are not asked to absorb a 42-mile trip in order to keep grief and bereavement treatment consistent. Appointments are available in English and Spanish, and records can be shared with your primary care physician or therapist in Boca Raton on request.

Telehealth for Boca Raton
