Individualized care for depressive symptoms, low motivation, mood changes, and loss of interest.
Care for Miami Gardens patients begins with a full psychiatric evaluation: current symptoms and how long they have lasted, psychiatric and medical history, medications and supplements, sleep, substance use, family history, and the daily stressors specific to work, school, and family life. From there we discuss a diagnosis in plain language and build a treatment plan together.
When medication is appropriate, options, expected benefits, side effects, and monitoring are reviewed at each visit. When helpful, care is coordinated with therapy, primary care, or other specialists, and laboratory or psychological testing may be recommended.
From Miami Gardens the office is roughly 15-20 minutes west along NW 183rd Street and the Gratigny Parkway, and county bus routes along NW 27th Avenue connect toward Hialeah for patients who do not drive.
In-person visits are the norm, with telehealth offered for follow-ups when transportation, work hours, or childcare would otherwise cause a missed appointment. For depression and mood disorders specifically, that means symptom review and medication monitoring stay on schedule without Miami Gardens patients rearranging a whole workday. Appointments are available in English and Spanish, and records can be shared with your primary care physician or therapist in Miami Gardens on request.
